The Elven Legacy

Chapter 1   
Though the orange glow of the sunset filtering in through the trees was warm and pleasant, the unnatural silence of the forest unnerved Henri. The only sounds that reached his ears were the heavy tromp of his armored boots on the undergrowth and his own steady breathing.  Nervously, the knight glanced over his shoulder for the seventh time, but as always, there was nothing there.  Henri let out a sigh and continued along the trail.   
As the sun continued to sink behind the western horizon, Henri reflected on what had brought him to these strange woods. And as most things did that occurred
